Creating Trust While Changing Lives
I enjoy the art of dentistry. I am passionate about making sure each of my patients is comfortable and that they trust me to provide great care for them. I do not take that trust lightly and am committed to delivering the best clinical and personal care to each patient.
I’ve been practicing dentistry since 2006. I was drawn to oral healthcare as a way of improving lives. Oral health is something that, for years, has been downplayed, with many failing to see or understand the connection to full-body health. By improving a patient’s dental health, I’m able to help their body become healthier, too.
Education and Continuing Education
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, minor in Spanish, University of North Carolina Wilmington
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA
Each year I complete many continuing education courses. This ensures I’m current on changes in treatment, as well as new technologies and materials. My patients deserve the best care available. Continuing education helps me exceed their expectations.

Our practice is all about trust and providing a safe and comfortable environment. My team and I know that coming to the dentist can be a stressful experience for some people. We do everything possible to make each visit stress-free and comfortable. Each of us here has been to healthcare offices where treatment is not personalized and feels like an assembly line. We’re the opposite.
We know that by making a patient comfortable and ensuring they feel welcome and secure, they’ll begin to trust us. By getting to know each patient on a personal level, and really listening to them, we can calm their dental anxiety and help them relax. My team is exceptional because each understands the importance of building trusting relationships with our patients.
I was raised on the Outer Banks and now live in Wilmington with my family. My wife Josie, who’s also my co-worker, and I have two young children, Joshua and Alicia. Our children are everything to us and are truly amazing in every way. We also have a very stubborn, almost human-like, Doberman, named Charlie Brown.
I love being outside and spending time with my family, whether we’re on the beach, camping, or doing yard work. I find peace being in nature. I’m also an avid surfer: outside of my family and my patients, it’s my greatest passion.
